About the project

Planning Seeds aims to develop a shared European methodological framework and a practical handbook for the creation and management of Solidarity Economy Districts, actively involving young people with fewer opportunities and older citizens in their development and promotion. Building on local experimentation, the project promotes resilient rural–urban linkages, participatory governance, and integrated territorial policies that strengthen local economies and reduce dependence on external factors.

Through training and community-building activities, Planning Seeds supports local stakeholders in creating Short Food Supply Chains (SFSCs) and Solidarity Economy Districts that advance social, economic, and environmental sustainability in line with the EU Green Deal, the Farm to Fork Strategy, and the Common Agricultural Policy. The project also fosters a European community of practice connecting citizens, organisations, and local authorities to promote democratic, inclusive, and solidarity-based territorial development aligned with the Social Economy Action Plan.
