Dorotea Daniele is Head of EU Partnership in Diesis Network, where she has worked since 2000. She is a senior expert on social entrepreneurship and social economy at European level and an experienced project manager. Recently she coordinated the Team supporting DGEMPL to facilitate the SEAP Mid Term Review and was the SRPP Expert and Project Coordinator for Diesis Network of the WeBuySocialEU initiative and the Team Leader of the action supporting DG GROW in the Transition Pathway for the Social Economy & Proximity Industrial Ecosystems: Accelerating fair Green & Digital Transitions. She also coordinated several projects on Social Procurement, New European Bauhaus and rural development. She was a member of GECES and rapporteur of the working group on ‘Improving the legal environment for social economy enterprises’. Previously she was the Thematic Expert of the ESF Social Economy transnational network and the facilitator of the ESF Social Entrepreneurship Network. Over her career, she has managed many different kinds of transnational projects in all their different phases (identification of partners and financial resources, drafting of the project, implementation, monitoring and evaluation). She has been the author and co-author of several publications on social economy and social entrepreneurship for EC, OECD, etc. She is of Italian nationality and her first degree was in political science, followed by a master’s degree in international trade.
Before she had worked for the co-operative movement in Italy for more than 10 years. She has been in charge of transnational projects and European affairs for Federlavoro e Servizi (an umbrella body of workers’ co-operatives) and for CGM (a national consortium of social co-operatives).
