The RURAL RiSE project is holding its final event

  • 10 June 2026, 9:30 – 12:40
  • Maison des Associations, Rue Washington 40, Brussels

The session is designed for policymakers, local authorities, social economy actors, technical experts, and rural development networks interested in capacity building, social economy practices, and the future of rural Europe.

About the event

RURAL RiSE laid its foundations by mapping social economy practices, rural challenges and opportunities across Spain, Italy, Serbia and Belgium. Each cluster partner have then developed a Capacity Building Lab in their region, bringing together local authorities, social economy actors and technical experts to co-design strategies for rural revitalisation.

Through interactive tools, peer learning sessions and field visits, participants explored how local contexts can innovate from within.

This final Lab brings those experiences into dialogue with the presentation of the Local Action Plans and what is needed to turn shared plans into long-term change on the ground.
