Cities and regions are increasingly looking for practical ways to address social challenges, improve local services and build more inclusive local economies. Social economy organisations already play an important role in this work, partnering with municipalities and regions to develop and deliver local solutions.
Reflecting the broader themes of the European Week of Regions and Cities, this online event will explore how this cooperation works in practice through three experiences from Diesis Network members in Italy, Serbia and Poland.
Torino Social Impact | Italy
Torino Social Impact will present the Metropolitan Social Economy Plan Torino 2030, focusing on one of its key strategies: fostering partnerships between profit and nonprofit actors. The case will highlight concrete initiatives, including social procurement, ProSeCo and Digital Match.
City & Me | Niš, Serbia
City & Me will explore how technology can help connect citizens, communities and local stakeholders, bringing a digital perspective to local cooperation and participation.
SZOWES | Poland
SZOWES will present a digital application developed for municipalities to support the management of social services and social service workers, showing how digital tools can address practical challenges at local level.
Together, these cases will offer an opportunity to exchange ideas and reflect on how cooperation between local authorities and the social economy can strengthen communities.
