About the project

The baSE project is a Blueprint Alliance under the Erasmus+ Programme that supports the development of a strategic approach to skills in the social economy and proximity ecosystem, in line with the European Skills Agenda 2020. The project establishes a long-term Alliance for Sectoral Cooperation on Skills, bringing together companies, education and training providers, research institutions, social partners, and sector experts.

Building on previous initiatives, baSE addresses skills shortages and mismatches by developing a sector skills strategy, designing education and training solutions, and creating a sustainable action plan. Key outputs include research on social economy skills gaps, the SocioComp competence framework, updated occupational profiles, a MOOC platform for blended learning, pilot training curricula focused on the twin transition, and policy recommendations to strengthen VET provision in the social economy.
